New: the regional Buy Box · Apex Repricer (beta)

The Buy Box went local. Your repricer didn’t.

Amazon now picks a Buy Box winner region by region, and for shoppers with and without Prime. Apex reads every region and sets the one price that earns you the most. Never below break-even. On autopilot.

What Amazon changed

One listing.
A different Buy Box in every region.

Shoppers in Dallas and shoppers in New York can see a different seller in the Buy Box for the same product, at the same moment.

  • Where they live

Amazon groups shoppers by place. You can hold the Buy Box in Dallas and lose it in New York.

  • Prime or not

Shoppers with Prime and without it are split too. The price that wins can change again.

  • One price, many races

Your offer still has one price. A repricer that sees one Buy Box chases the cheapest region, or loses regions it could win.

Try it

Drag the price.
Watch the map.

This is the math Apex runs for each listing. Every region has a price that wins it and a share of the shoppers. Apex finds the one price that earns the most across all of them.

Pick a price for this listing.

Cost $18.40. Amazon fees about 15% plus $5.10. Your goal: at least 15% ROI, so your floor is $30.89.

What Apex does for you

Every region, every listing.
Priced while you sleep.

You can’t do this math by hand for every listing, every hour. Apex does it for all of them.

  1. 01

    It reads every region.

For each listing, Apex asks Amazon who wins each region, how many of the shoppers it holds, and the price that wins it.

  2. 02

It finds the price that pays most.

It tries the price that wins each region, inside your floor and your max, and keeps the one that earns the most.

  3. 03

    It keeps it there.

Turn on autopilot and it runs again every 5, 15, 30 or 60 minutes. Region data more than 3 hours old never sets a price.

The trap

Your repricer won the Buy Box.
You lost money on the sale.

A seller drops a cent in one region. Your repricer matches. They drop again. It follows them down, all night, because it doesn’t know what you paid. And your one price drops for every region.

By morning you’ve sold units under your cost. The report calls it a Buy Box win.

Most repricers want a min price typed in for every SKU. Miss one, or let a supplier raise a price, and the floor is wrong. Apex works out the floor from the cost already in your account.

No sales below break-even

If a rival drops under your floor, you choose what happens: hold your price, sit at your floor, or go to your max.

No black box

It runs on rules, not AI. Every price change shows the rule that made it, in Price Activity.

No promise of the Buy Box

Amazon decides who wins it. Apex makes sure a win is never a loss.

How you set it up

Four steps.
Then it runs on its own.

You set the rules once. Apex keeps every price inside them.

  1. Step 01

Set floors from what you paid.

Pick a goal: a minimum ROI, a margin, or dollars a unit. Apex works out the floor for every listing from your cost and Amazon's fees, in bulk. It never goes under break-even, whatever the goal says.

    You end up with

A real floor on every listing.

    Floors
  2. Step 02

    Pick how you compete.

Use Local Buy Box, the price that earns the most across regions. Use Standard, a cent under the cheapest rival. Or build your own rules, and Apex reads them back to you in plain words.

    You end up with

    A strategy you can read.

    Strategies
  3. Step 03

    Preview before anything moves.

See the new price for every listing, and the reason for it, before a single price changes on Amazon.

    You end up with

    No surprises.

    Preview
  4. Step 04

    Turn on autopilot.

Apex runs your strategies every 5, 15, 30 or 60 minutes. Every change goes into Price Activity with the rule behind it, so you can check any price later.

    You end up with

Prices that keep up while you sleep.

    Autopilot

Every control

The rules you wish you had.
None of the guesswork.

Start with the Local Buy Box strategy and change nothing. Or open the strategy builder and decide exactly how each listing competes.

  • Regions map

A US map of where you win the Buy Box, your margin in each state, and where your FBA units sit. Click a state to see every product there. Search any ASIN or SKU to open its own map.

  • Floors your way

A minimum ROI, margin or dollars a unit, with a dollar minimum on top. Work from the item cost or the landed cost.

  • A ceiling too

Set a max so a price never runs too high. When you're the only seller, hold your price or climb to your max.

  • Pick who counts

Compete with Amazon, FBA sellers, FBM sellers, or any mix. Skip sellers with poor ratings, slow shipping or no stock yet, or leave out any seller you choose.

  • Match, beat or sit above

Aim at the Buy Box, the lowest offer or the next best one. Match it, beat it by a cent or a percent, or sit just above it.

  • FBA and FBM, apart

Set a different move for each matchup: your FBA offer against Amazon, against another FBA seller, or against an FBM seller.

  • Safety rails

Cap how far a price can drop or rise in one move. Add a wait between changes. Skip a change when the data is too old.

  • Out of stock, price endings

When you run out, hold your price or rest it at your max. Round prices to end in .99 or .95.

  • MAP by brand

See each brand's MAP status next to your prices, so a brand's minimum advertised price is in front of you.

Why Apex

A repricer is only as smart
as the cost behind it.

A stand-alone repricer starts with a blank min price. Apex starts with what you paid: the cost from your purchase orders, Amazon’s fees, and your prep and shipping if you add them. When a cost changes, the floor follows on the next run.

One price for the whole loop

Stand-alone repricers charge for repricing alone. Apex Pro is $299 a month and gives you the repricer on every listing, plus the tools that find, buy and track what you sell.

All in one

24 tools. One login.

From the first supplier to the repricer: sourcing, purchase orders, inventory, prep and repricing in one place (prep and repricing are in beta), instead of a stack of separate subscriptions that never talk to each other.

Questions

Before you turn it on.

What is the regional Buy Box?

Amazon can show a different Buy Box winner to different shoppers, based on where they live and whether they have Prime. In Apex it's called the Local Buy Box. Apex shows who wins each region, how many of the shoppers it holds, and the price that wins it.

Can I set a different price in each region?

No, and no repricer can. Amazon takes one price for your offer. What changes by region is who wins at that price. Apex picks the one price that earns the most across all of them, inside your floor and your max.

Does it need my costs?

Yes. Apex picks a price from your profit, so it needs what each unit cost you. With no cost, it still shows you the map, but it won't pick a price.

Will it race my price down to the bottom?

No. It never goes under break-even, and never under the floor your goal sets. If a rival drops below your floor, you pick what happens: hold your price, sit at your floor, or go to your max.

How often does it reprice?

Turn on autopilot and Apex runs your strategies every 5, 15, 30 or 60 minutes, or press Reprice now. Repricing the instant a competitor changes price is built but not switched on yet. Autopilot stays off until you turn it on.

What do I need to start?

Your Amazon account connected. Product costs in your Apex database, so the floor is real. A target for each listing or group: a minimum ROI, margin or dollar profit.

Can I try it on a few listings first?

Yes. Nothing changes until you turn a listing on. Start with a handful, run the preview, and add more when you trust it.

Is it AI?

No. It runs on rules you can read, because you should be able to see why a price moved. Every change is logged with the rule behind it.

I already use a repricer. Can I switch?

Yes. Turn your old repricer off for each listing you turn on in Apex, so two repricers never fight over one price. Your floors come from the costs in Apex, so there are no min prices to copy across.

What does it cost?

The repricer is part of the Pro plan. 7 days free, then $299 a month, plus tax where applicable. Card required, nothing charged until day 8. Cancel any time before then. Pro also opens the rest of Apex: sourcing, purchase orders and profit and loss.

Is it finished?

It's in beta. It reprices real listings on Amazon, and we're still adding to it. Repricing the instant a competitor changes price is built but not switched on yet.
